European Hot Air Ballooning
Camaraderie The very nature of our trips attracts an interesting type of person, eager for a meaningful travel experience. In sharing the unusually delightful adventures we create, our guests frequently comment on the pleasing sense of camaraderie they find traveling with us. Daily Balloon Adventures A trip with us presents many opportunities to meet and talk with friendly European locals and some of Europe's most colorful aristocrats. Each day of your trip we have scheduled a low-level sightseeing excursion in our balloons, packed with delightful discoveries. We frequently float low enough to pick leaves from treetops and speak with greatly amused people in their gardens as we drift just-above-the-rooftops of cobbled villages, medieval castles or lush, alpine meadows. When we skim through a village in a colorful balloon, we aren't exactly sneaking into town, and we often land to chat with delighted villagers, chateau owners or farmers who don't think of us as tourists, but as very interesting visitors. The instant friendships and generous hospitality we are able to create for our guests by 'dropping in' at castles, farmhouses and in picturesque villages is legendary, which makes our spirited landing celebrations, shared with the local people, all the more whimsical and fun.
Excellent food and brilliant presentation are central to every meal served on our trips. Great effort is taken to arrange luncheons and dinners in different and unique settings, providing our guests with many opportunities to sample the very best regional cuisine. Fine wines are served daily with lunch and dinner. Art & Culture and Other Attractions Framing each day's balloon adventure are privately guided visits to the most important cultural and historical sites in the area of our tour. Deluxe Hotel Accommodations We choose one hotel for the duration of our trip, unpack and settle in. Only four or five star properties are used, usually the best in the area of our tour. Each hotel is chosen for local charm and hospitality, and Relais & Chateaux are used wherever possible. Extraordinary Service We take great pleasure in offering our guests extremely well planned and delivered programs. There are nearly as many Bombard staff members on each trip as there are guests. Our balloon pilots, (who are Bombard staff) also accompany our guests throughout each adventure to assure you of a wonderful and memorable experience. IMPORTANT NOTE: These are deluxe tours and priced accordingly! In addition, tour dates change and are offered only a few times per year therefore your anticipated departure date could be drastically different than the scheduled tour date each year... if you're truly interested in a tour of this magnitude you will have to be flexible.
