ITINERARY 6 NT PACKAGES FOR CARNIVAL IN RIO DE JANEIRO
February 2 or 3: US Gateway / Rio de Janeiro
Depart from the US gateway on your international flight to Rio de Janeiro. Relax as you wing your way south, with complementary in-flight cocktails, dinner & movie.
February 3 or 4: Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro, the cidade maravilhosa, in the early morning. After clearing customs and immigration, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Your six (6) night stay is at the hotel of your choice. Brazilian buffet breakfast and taxes included. On your way to the hotel, your guide will brief you on what is happening this week in Rio, suggest optional activities, discuss nightlife options, provide shopping tips and help with options of restaurants. Don’t forget: your guide is "your man in Rio!" The balance of the day is at leisure.
February 4 or 5: Rio de Janeiro
This tour takes you to the base of the famous Rio landmark “Pao de Acucar” (Sugar Loaf), set dramatically at the mouth of Guanabara Bay. Board the first of two cable cars to the smaller of these two mountains off the coast of Rio. Then continue up on yet another cable car to the summit of the second mountain. The view from this peak of the city of Rio, the bay, and the ocean is breathtaking. Take your time admiring the gardens, walkways and magnificent panoramas. Get an understanding of the layout of this bustling city and marvel at how it has grown nestled between the sun-drenched shores of the south Atlantic and the towering peaks of the coastal mountain range. After a time, descend to the base at Urca Beach and proceed to a driving tour of downtown Rio, including the Flamengo Park, the majestic Avenida Rio Branco and other landmarks of the city.
February 5 or 6 to February 8 or 9: Rio de Janeiro
Free days at leisure to enjoy this cosmopolitan, sun-drenched city at its best time of the year. Stroll along Avenida Atlantica (beach avenue in Copacabana Beach) and Viera Souto (beach avenue in Ipanema Beach) with the Cariocas. Sunbathe, enjoy your hotel's amenities or shop ‘till you drop. You can also take optional tours in and around Rio.

February 9 or 10: Rio de Janeiro / US Gateway
Your last day in Rio to enjoy this amazing city. Your guide will meet and transfer you to the airport and assist you with check-in for your international flight. Enjoy complementary cocktails, meals and entertainment in-flight.
February 10 or 11: US Gateway
Arrive in the US Gateway and clear customs and immigration. Return home with the memories, pictures, and souvenirs of your trip of a lifetime.
