In Rio we visit Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado, with spectacular views over the city. The Iguazu Falls are probably the most spectacular waterfalls in the world - wider than Victoria and higher than Niagara Falls. The waterfalls plunge through a gorge and the sky is decorated with rainbows from the spray. Next stop the white sandy beaches of Praia do Forte, lined with coconut palms, and with natural marine pools. Relax on the beach or maybe choose to go dolphin watching or to se the sea turtles by night. Next it's time to relax before we head to the vibrant city of Salvador with its delicious Bahian cuisine, drumming bands and the Baianas – local women in their traditional lace dresses.

Starting in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, we look down over Rio from the
tops of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovada. Our Brazil family tour then heads to
Manaus and the Amazon, the worlds largest rainforest. Here we stay in an eco-lodge,
and visit the Monkey Jungle, go piranha fishing, hike through the rainforest,
and take a night canoe safari looking for caimans, as well as learning about the
culture of the local people of the forest – the caboclos. The old colonial capital
of Brazil is Salvador, one of the most vibrant cities in this huge country. Look
out for the Baianas – local women in their traditional lace dresses, selling specialities
of the delicious Bahian cuisine, and listen out for the sounds of the drums beating
throughout the city. And finally we spend time at Praia do Forte, with its white
sandy beaches lined with coconut palms, and natural marine pools. Here you can
relax on the beach, or visit the Turtle Project, or enjoy other options such as
whale watching, jeep safaris or the sea turtles by night.

A short trip south brings us to Parati, with its charming cobbled streets and colourful houses. Next stop is the pulsating metropolis of Sao Paolo, followed by the green parks and pleasant climate of Curitiba. Enjoy magnificent views of the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls, then head south to discover the historical Jesuit Mission near San Ignacio village. Hopping the border to Uruguay gives us a well-earned opportunity to soak in the thermal waters at Salto, as well as the cultural diversity and white sand beaches of Montevideo. A short ferry ride whisks us across the Rio de la Plata to our last stop, Buenos Aires, where you can enjoy the busy streets, grand avenues and shady plazas of the Paris of South America.
Starting in cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, enjoy the shopping and nightlife, the food and the wine before cruising across the Rio de la Plata to discover the charming coastal town of Colonia, a World Heritage site. Next it’s on to Montevideo and Salto, where you can relax in thermal springs. We discover the historical Jesuit Ruins of northern Argentina, then spend a few days at Iguazu, marveling at the thundering Iguazu Falls. Heading onwards, we journey to the university city of Curitiba, pass through the sprawling metropolis of Sao Paolo then it’s out to the coast and the charming old pirate town of Parati. Finally we rock into the tropical city of Rio, which makes for a spectacular grand finale to the tour.

Our journey continues to the friendly country of Uruguay, before heading to the Brazilian border to marvel at the stunning Iguazu Falls. Heading through Brazil gives us time to relax on tropical beaches before rocking into the city of Rio for a spectacular end to our journey.
