This culture packed tour of Vietnam and Cambodia takes you to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, and into the heart of the Mekong Delta to Can Tho and Chau Doc, before crossing into Cambodia via a fascinating Mekong cruise. In Cambodia we explore Phnom Penh, discovering the royal temples and Khmer Rouge history. In Siem Reap, we visit the famous Angkor temples of the ancient Cham civilisations, an elephant farm where we take an elephant ride, a cultural village where we see traditional Apsara dancing, and a floating village. It is a fun filled journey for adults and children alike, with sampan rides, cruises, temples, cycling and an optional hot air balloon ride. Discover the highlights of Vietnam as you journey with us from north to south.
We start our tour in the northern capital Hanoi, where we explore the magical old quarter and French colonial districts by cyclo, and in the evening watch the famous Water Puppet Show. Next stop is Halong Bay, where we spend the night on board a traditional junk boat, cruising the emerald waters, exploring some of the ancient limestone caves and islands, swimming and even night fishing. Flying to Hoi An we have a walking tour of this beautiful town, with free time to relax, shop at the many tailor shops, or take a Vietnamese cooking lesson or lantern making class. Another flight takes us to coastal Nha Trang where we wallow in the mud baths, visit the aquarium, and snorkel. On to Saigon, where we explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and then head for the Mekong Delta, where we cruise the waterways of the mighty Mekong and visit the colourful floating markets. Back in Saigon a city tour ends off our action filled family adventure.
