This one week Volunteer Programme offers you the opportunity to make a real difference to local lives through helping out at a village school and assisting with community visits. Introduce your family to the beautiful city of Cusco and its surrounding area in this great family adventure that includes markets, lost cities, horse riding, boat trips, reed islands and even a picnic with alpacas. We begin our journey in Cusco, the old Inca capital, full of history and fascinating culture. We explore some of the nearby ancient fortifications on horseback, and then take a tour of the Sacred Valley. The lively and colourful Pisac market is a great place to shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs, and see some of the traditional costumes of the area. We take the train to Aguas Calientes, and visit the Lost City of the Incas – Machu Picchu. Our journey continues as we travel to Puno, on the edge of Lake Titicaca, and from there take a boat to the floating Uros reed islands. It is then on to Amantani Island, where we overnight with local families, and experience first hand how they live. Heading up Argentina's east coast, there's time for an excursion to spot wildlife out on the Valdes Peninsula and a few days to kick back and relax in Buenos Aires. Continuing north, we'll visit the stunning falls at Iguazu before enjoying some well-earned rest on Brazil's beautiful beaches. And what better place to round of your trip than in the stunning city of Rio?

This popular tour travels from Ecuador's bustling capital city, all the way to the tropical climates of the party town of Rio. Crossing the equator we travel south through the Andean mountain range. Along the way we'll discover jungles and towering volcanoes, colonial towns and arid deserts, ancient cultures and Pacific-lapped beaches. Heading south, the landscapes change to reveal snowcapped peaks and glaciers, ancient forests and gleaming lakes of the wild region of Patagonia. As we continue up the east coast of Argentina, we go in search of wildlife out on the Valdes Peninsula and discover Tango in Buenos Aires. The landscape, climate and people change again as we cross the border into Brazil at the might Iguazu falls: we'll discover beautiful beaches and a different rhythm of life.
