The Flinders Ranges is one of Australia’s National Landscapes, a great area for your Outback experience. We set out from Adelaide, and head north through historic towns to the spectacular mountain ranges and habitats of some of Australia’s famous wildlife such as kangaroos and emus. We stop at a Ghost Town before reaching the awesome amphitheatre of Wilpena Pound. Watch out for Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies as we drive through Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges, and through some of the oldest landscapes on earth, as we head to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary. Explore the 4WD tracks, and maybe opt to look out at the night sky through the telescopes at the Astronomical Observatory. Creeks, waterholes and jagged gorges are all part of our Ridgetop Tour, which leads us to the old copper mining town of Blinman, the highest town in South Australia. We then journey back to Adelaide through the Moralana Scenic Drive, Pichi Richi Pass, and following the Old Ghan Railway line, bringing our Outback adventure to an end.

Our six day adventure begins in Adelaide, and then heads north along the old trade route to Roxby Downs and the world famous opal mining area of Andamooka. We tour an underground working opal mine, and then continue on via the rocket launching town of Woomera, to the famous opal mining town of Coober Pedy. Here we have a tour of the town and area, and overnight in an underground hotel. Our journey then takes us through the real Australian Outback where we see the biggest icons, such as the longest fence and the largest cattle station in the world, as well as Lake Cadibarrawirracanna, the longest place name in Australia, and Lake Eyre, Australia’s largest salt lake.

This seven day adventure gives you a taste of just a few of the attractions in and around Brisbane, Australia’s third largest city. Brisbane has a tropical landscape, and a climate that lures people all year round. From Brisbane, we take the ferry to Moreton Island, an island wilderness with sparkling clear water and sandy white beaches, where you can hand feed bottlenose dolphins, and explore the sand dunes, lagoons and creeks, swim, snorkel and fish. Next we head to the beautiful Glass House Mountains for our farm stay, with opportunities for horse riding, bush walks, feeding the animals and even boomerang throwing. Returning to Brisbane, we visit the Koala Sanctuary where koalas can be cuddled, kangaroos hand-fed, and Australian wildlife encountered.

We begin with a day at Sea World, full of amazing marine life. Next stop Hervey Bay, gateway to Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island. Here we take a 4-wheel drive tour to explore the beautiful lakes, creeks and beaches, maybe even spotting a turtle.
An overnight journey on the famous Sunlander train brings us to the Whitsunday Coast where we spend two nights on Long Island, with options for water sports, island cruises, snorkelling on the reef, bush walks or just relaxing on the beach. Free time in Airlie Beach gives you the chance for options such as a Crocodile Safari around the Goorganga Wetlands, scenic flights, whale spotting (in season), or a visit to the Wildlife Park to see koalas and other animals. In Cairns we cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef, and then allow time to enjoy some of the many optional excursions and activities that Cairns has to offer.
