Day #1 Boston. Arrive in Boston and pick up your rental car at the airport, then start exploring or proceed to your hotel.
Day #2 Boston. An entire day to enjoy Boston.
Day #3 Boston–Green Mountains. Today, head north to Vermont. Enjoy the Green Mountains as you journey to Stowe, a historic village nestled beside Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak. Approximately 200 miles/321 km.
Day #4 Green Mountains. A full day at leisure. You may want to consider a drive to Burlington, perched on the banks of Lake Champlain.
Day #5 Green Mountains–White Mountains. Travel east to New Hampshire and the beautiful White Mountains. Stop at the White Mountains Visitor Center in North Woodstock. The town offers a great selection of unique stores and superb dining. Approximately 140 miles/225 km.
Day #6 White Mountains. A full day to explore the White Mountains.
Day #7 White Mountains–Newport. Today, continue to Newport, summer resort of America’s first millionaires. Approximately 208 miles/334 km.
Day #8 Newport. Full day at leisure. Why not explore one of the many historic mansions in the area? Astor’s Beechwood Mansion, Belcourt Castle, and The Breakers are highlights. While at The Breakers, enjoy easy access to the spectacular “Cliff Walk” and experience great architecture mixed with diverse scenery.
Day #9 Newport–Boston. Return to Boston and drop off your rental car prior to departure. Approximately 72 miles/115 km.
